Frequently Asked Questions

Will you just give me medicine, or will we actually talk about my problem?

Both. Dr. Priya will sit and listen to what you are going through, like a proper talk. Medicine is given only if you really need it, and never without telling you first. You will always know what is happening and why.

Will I have to take medication for life if I start it?

No. Medication is not always permanent. Many people take it for a short period to feel stable, and the dose is gradually reduced as they improve. Nothing is decided without discussing it with you first.

Is what I'm feeling "serious enough" to see a psychiatrist?

You do not need to be in crisis to seek help. If something is affecting your sleep, mood, work, or relationships, that is reason enough. Seeking help early is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Will seeing a psychiatrist go on my record or affect my job?

Your sessions are private and confidential. Reaching out for mental health support does not get reported to your employer or anyone else without your consent.
